Don’t Mourn The Loss of the life you could have had

You can feel uneasy deep down in your gut when you take a risk.  The thought of the unknown is uncomfortable and often we look to the weight of uncertainty when we make our decisions over what might be.  If you are anything like me, you do not want to wake up one day and wonder what might have been.

Often, we feel that surviving is good enough and to not rock the boat.  The imposter syndrome sets in and we ignore our inner voice trying to awaken our passion.  Why rock the boat if things are going okay?  Why change if you are in a workable routine but your heart longs for a better, more fulfilling career?  Why would you give up a job that is working for you to dream bigger?

“What if this time, we ride our adrenaline rush and embark upon our journey to obtain our desired aspirations?”

We question ourselves to no end and rely too much on others’ input when others may not know our inner most dream we keep to ourselves.  Often times, the individuals we confide in do not understand our desire to color outside the lines.  We muffle our own voice because we are afraid to listen to our calling.  We are too afraid to speak out loud because it requires us to be vulnerable and to [potentially] act on that change.  The fear of the unknown outweighs the undiscovered and we stay the course.  What if this time, we ride our adrenaline rush and embark upon our journey to obtain our desired aspirations?

Regret and missed opportunities will haunt us for the rest of our lives.  We have all heard and felt the aftermath of the phrase “shoulda, coulda, woulda.”  Stop wondering what might have been.  Break the cycle of surviving and start thriving.  Contact me today at www.gayle.keller.org
